THE QUARRY KATZ LIVE AT SLIM JIMS LIQUORSTORE "The Quarry Katz hail from Headington Quarry, Oxford. Local Rock n Roll singer Earl Kat and Glaswegian guitar man, Scotty Kat got together as a duo where they discovered they both loved the classic fifties recordings and the music inspired by those amazing artists. The addition of local bassist JB Kat on standup with Slim Kat pounding out the rhythm behind the kit, plus on special occasions, Lucky Kat joining on piano, got them out rocking the local dance floors, where they quickly realised there was an audience out there who needed to dance and who loved a Rock n Roll party! They get off on the edgy sounds of Johnny Burnette and Carl Perkins, The Early Elvis classics, plus they often add in latter hits and covers from the bands they influenced like The Stray Cats and JD McPherson. The Katz mission is simple: to have a great Rock n Roll dance party!"
